Both tracks were rebuilt and upgraded in 2022, and both get worked on between every event.
Plenty of the bikes in our pits come from Cullman and the rest of Cullman County. Getting here is a morning drive, which turns a normal Saturday into a real ride day without eating the whole weekend in windshield time.

This is a short enough hop that you do not need to plan a weekend around it. From Cullman you can be on the track not long after you decide to go.
Most riders from Cullman come in via US-278 east through Blountsville. Put the address in your phone and it will take you the rest of the way.
The mix is red clay and wood shavings, and the ratio is ours. What it buys you is a track that still has berms and lines late in the day rather than one worn groove and a cloud of dust.

This is not an experts-only track. Beginner classes like Youth D exist for a reason, and the layout is forgiving enough for a kid learning while still being big enough for A riders to hold it open.

The layout sits in an open field, so from most spots in the pits you can watch about 70 percent of the track. Parents love it.
The park is at 4015 County Highway 35 in Horton, Alabama, roughly 25 miles west of Cullman in a straight line. Because of the river and the lake, the road route can be noticeably longer - the map on this page shows the real driving distance and time from Cullman.
McLarty MX Park is the one most Cullman riders end up at. It is a comfortable morning drive away in Horton, with two prepped sandy loam tracks and announced race and practice days.
Mini E and 51cc through 65, 85, Supermini, Schoolboy, Girls, Women, 250, Open, College Boy and the 25, 35 and 45 plus classes. The exact list for a given weekend depends on the series running.
