Is there a motocross track near Moody?
McLarty MX Park is the one most Moody riders end up at. It is a comfortable morning drive away in Horton, with two prepped sandy loam tracks and announced race and practice days.
What happens if it rains?
Sandy loam drains well, so light rain often does not stop us. If weather does force a change, we post it at the top of every page on this website and on our Facebook page.
Do I need to sign up before I come?
No. There is no membership and no pre-registration. Sign in at the tower when you arrive and pay at the gate. Riders under 18 need a parent or legal guardian signature.
What kind of dirt is the track?
Sandy loam - Alabama red clay mixed with our own blend of wood shavings. It holds moisture, keeps traction, and stops the track turning into a dust bowl.
What classes do you run?
Mini E and 51cc through 65, 85, Supermini, Schoolboy, Girls, Women, 250, Open, College Boy and the 25, 35 and 45 plus classes. The exact list for a given weekend depends on the series running.
