The trip from Rainbow City to McLarty MX Park is a morning drive. Comfortable enough that families in Etowah County make it for a single practice day and still get home for supper.

You will find four year olds on 50s and forty five year olds on 450s in the same pits. The class list covers Mini E through Open, plus Girls, Women, Schoolboy, College Boy and the 25, 35 and 45 plus classes.

The track is watered and ripped before gates open, and it gets worked through the day on race days.
The layout sits in an open field, so from most spots in the pits you can watch about 70 percent of the track. Parents love it.
We prep before you roll in and keep working it through a race day. Combined with a surface that actually holds moisture, that means the track you ride at four o clock still resembles the one you rode at ten.
A normal ride-day drive from Rainbow City. Leave early enough to sign in without rushing and you will get a full day of laps out of it.
Set your GPS to 4015 County Highway 35, Horton, AL 35980 and it will bring you straight to the gate. From Rainbow City you are heading generally northwest.

The park is at 4015 County Highway 35 in Horton, Alabama, roughly 26 miles southeast of Rainbow City in a straight line. Because of the river and the lake, the road route can be noticeably longer - the map on this page shows the real driving distance and time from Rainbow City.
McLarty MX Park is the one most Rainbow City riders end up at. It is a comfortable morning drive away in Horton, with two prepped sandy loam tracks and announced race and practice days.

No. Pit bike riding is not permitted anywhere on the property. That rule gets enforced.

Yes. Camping is welcome with no ground fires anywhere on the property. Front row RV spots with power and water hookups can be reserved by text.
