Two Separate Tracks
Both tracks were rebuilt and upgraded in 2022, and both get worked on between every event.
Plenty of the bikes in our pits come from Oneonta and the rest of Blount County. Getting here is a short drive, which turns a normal Saturday into a real ride day without eating the whole weekend in windshield time.
Straight-line distance. The map further down shows the real driving route and time from Oneonta.
Being this close has a real advantage: if the weather looks iffy you can wait, watch, and still make it out once the call goes up.
Most riders from Oneonta come in via AL-75 north through Snead. Put the address in your phone and it will take you the rest of the way.
Alabama red clay on its own goes greasy wet and concrete dry. Cut with wood shavings it does neither, which is how we keep a rideable surface from gates open to the last checkered flag.
There is no membership and no pre-registration. Show up on an announced date, sign in, pay, and go ride. Just confirm the date first, because we are not open every week.
Racers, practice riders and people just getting started all use the same gate. Sign in at the tower, tell us what you are riding, and we will point you to the right class.

The track is watered and ripped before gates open, and it gets worked through the day on race days.
The layout sits in an open field, so from most spots in the pits you can watch about 70 percent of the track. Parents love it.
The park is at 4015 County Highway 35 in Horton, Alabama, roughly 17 miles south of Oneonta in a straight line. Because of the river and the lake, the road route can be noticeably longer - the map on this page shows the real driving distance and time from Oneonta.
McLarty MX Park is the one most Oneonta riders end up at. It is a short hop away in Horton, with two prepped sandy loam tracks and announced race and practice days.
Yes. Camping is welcome with no ground fires anywhere on the property. Front row RV spots with power and water hookups can be reserved by text.
Sandy loam drains well, so light rain often does not stop us. If weather does force a change, we post it at the top of every page on this website and on our Facebook page.
No. There is no membership and no pre-registration. Sign in at the tower when you arrive and pay at the gate. Riders under 18 need a parent or legal guardian signature.
Sandy loam - Alabama red clay mixed with our own blend of wood shavings. It holds moisture, keeps traction, and stops the track turning into a dust bowl.
