Looking for somewhere to ride near Muscle Shoals? Point the truck southeast. McLarty MX Park has been a North Alabama riding destination for families and weekend racers for years, and the dirt is the reason people keep making the trip.

We prep before you roll in and keep working it through a race day. Combined with a surface that actually holds moisture, that means the track you ride at four o clock still resembles the one you rode at ten.
From Muscle Shoals this is a genuine haul, so it is worth making a weekend of it. Camping is welcome at the park, and there are hotels fifteen to twenty five minutes away in Albertville and Guntersville.
Set your GPS to 4015 County Highway 35, Horton, AL 35980 and it will bring you straight to the gate. From Muscle Shoals you are heading generally southeast.
You will find four year olds on 50s and forty five year olds on 450s in the same pits. The class list covers Mini E through Open, plus Girls, Women, Schoolboy, College Boy and the 25, 35 and 45 plus classes.

The layout sits in an open field, so from most spots in the pits you can watch about 70 percent of the track. Parents love it.

The park is at 4015 County Highway 35 in Horton, Alabama, roughly 82 miles northwest of Muscle Shoals in a straight line. Because of the river and the lake, the road route can be noticeably longer - the map on this page shows the real driving distance and time from Muscle Shoals.
McLarty MX Park is the one most Muscle Shoals riders end up at. It is a couple of hours on the road away in Horton, with two prepped sandy loam tracks and announced race and practice days.

Yes. Camping is welcome with no ground fires anywhere on the property. Front row RV spots with power and water hookups can be reserved by text.
Sandy loam drains well, so light rain often does not stop us. If weather does force a change, we post it at the top of every page on this website and on our Facebook page.
No. There is no membership and no pre-registration. Sign in at the tower when you arrive and pay at the gate. Riders under 18 need a parent or legal guardian signature.
