Looking for somewhere to ride near Centre? Point the truck west. McLarty MX Park has been a North Alabama riding destination for families and weekend racers for years, and the dirt is the reason people keep making the trip.

Most Southeastern tracks pick one problem: dust by noon, or hardpack by afternoon. The blend here does neither. The shavings hold water, the clay holds shape, and the track keeps its character right through the last session.
A normal ride-day drive from Centre. Leave early enough to sign in without rushing and you will get a full day of laps out of it.
Most riders from Centre come in via US-411 west toward Gadsden. Put the address in your phone and it will take you the rest of the way.

Gate prices are posted, the rules are short, and the schedule is public. The only thing that catches people out is assuming we run every Saturday - we do not.
The park is at 4015 County Highway 35 in Horton, Alabama, roughly 41 miles east of Centre in a straight line. Because of the river and the lake, the road route can be noticeably longer - the map on this page shows the real driving distance and time from Centre.
McLarty MX Park is the one most Centre riders end up at. It is a comfortable morning drive away in Horton, with two prepped sandy loam tracks and announced race and practice days.

Yes. Camping is welcome with no ground fires anywhere on the property. Front row RV spots with power and water hookups can be reserved by text.
Sandy loam drains well, so light rain often does not stop us. If weather does force a change, we post it at the top of every page on this website and on our Facebook page.
No. There is no membership and no pre-registration. Sign in at the tower when you arrive and pay at the gate. Riders under 18 need a parent or legal guardian signature.
