Dirt That Holds Up All Day

Most Southeastern tracks pick one problem: dust by noon, or hardpack by afternoon. The blend here does neither. The shavings hold water, the clay holds shape, and the track keeps its character right through the last session.

Bring The Whole Family

Whether you are chasing series points or just want your kid to get comfortable on dirt somewhere safer than a pasture, there is a spot here for you.

Two Separate Tracks

Both tracks were rebuilt and upgraded in 2022, and both get worked on between every event.

Prepped Before You Roll In

The track is watered and ripped before gates open, and it gets worked through the day on race days.

You Can See The Whole Thing

The layout sits in an open field, so from most spots in the pits you can watch about 70 percent of the track. Parents love it.

Questions From Centre Riders

How far is McLarty MX Park from Centre, AL?

The park is at 4015 County Highway 35 in Horton, Alabama, roughly 41 miles east of Centre in a straight line. Because of the river and the lake, the road route can be noticeably longer - the map on this page shows the real driving distance and time from Centre.

Is there a motocross track near Centre?

McLarty MX Park is the one most Centre riders end up at. It is a comfortable morning drive away in Horton, with two prepped sandy loam tracks and announced race and practice days.

Can spectators see the whole track?

Just about. The track sits in an open field, so from most spots in the pits you can see around seventy percent of the layout.

Can I camp at the track?

Yes. Camping is welcome with no ground fires anywhere on the property. Front row RV spots with power and water hookups can be reserved by text.

What happens if it rains?

Sandy loam drains well, so light rain often does not stop us. If weather does force a change, we post it at the top of every page on this website and on our Facebook page.

Do I need to sign up before I come?

No. There is no membership and no pre-registration. Sign in at the tower when you arrive and pay at the gate. Riders under 18 need a parent or legal guardian signature.
