Anyone coming this far usually arrives the night before. Camping on site is welcome, and front row RV spots with power and water hookups can be reserved by text.
Set your GPS to 4015 County Highway 35, Horton, AL 35980 and it will bring you straight to the gate. From Cleveland you are heading generally southwest.

About The Surface You Will Ride
Alabama red clay on its own goes greasy wet and concrete dry. Cut with wood shavings it does neither, which is how we keep a rideable surface from gates open to the last checkered flag.

Everybody From Mini E To Open
This is not an experts-only track. Beginner classes like Youth D exist for a reason, and the layout is forgiving enough for a kid learning while still being big enough for A riders to hold it open.
Prepped Before You Roll In
The track is watered and ripped before gates open, and it gets worked through the day on race days.
You Can See The Whole Thing
The layout sits in an open field, so from most spots in the pits you can watch about 70 percent of the track. Parents love it.

How far is McLarty MX Park from Cleveland, TN?
The park is at 4015 County Highway 35 in Horton, Alabama, roughly 110 miles northeast of Cleveland in a straight line. Because of the river and the lake, the road route can be noticeably longer - the map on this page shows the real driving distance and time from Cleveland.
Is there a motocross track near Cleveland?
McLarty MX Park is the one most Cleveland riders end up at. It is a couple of hours on the road away in Horton, with two prepped sandy loam tracks and announced race and practice days.
Can I camp at the track?
Yes. Camping is welcome with no ground fires anywhere on the property. Front row RV spots with power and water hookups can be reserved by text.
What happens if it rains?
Sandy loam drains well, so light rain often does not stop us. If weather does force a change, we post it at the top of every page on this website and on our Facebook page.
Do I need to sign up before I come?
No. There is no membership and no pre-registration. Sign in at the tower when you arrive and pay at the gate. Riders under 18 need a parent or legal guardian signature.
What kind of dirt is the track?
Sandy loam - Alabama red clay mixed with our own blend of wood shavings. It holds moisture, keeps traction, and stops the track turning into a dust bowl.
